Action 4 Humanity Development Foundation is delighted to announce that it’s hosting the 2022 Alberta culture day focusing on East African culture. We will be hosting a two-day free East African culture day celebration from September 3 to September 4, 2022, in Calgary Alberta.
On the first day of the event, we will be hosting an opening ceremony with the community elders’ blessing, history telling, and presentation on the contribution of Afro-Canadians to Albertans/Canadian society. There will be live African cultural music and a cultural show at the event. The main goal is to bring diverse community youth and citizens together with diverse heritage, recognize each other’s culture through music and learn from indigenous and Afro-Canadian and other people’s history and become proud of their own diverse culture, and promote unity and resilience.
Action 4 Humanity with the financial support of the government of Alberta, will be serving African cultural food at the event. We will also establish networking of people to people where Africans share their knowledge, experience, and life in the future.
On the second day of the event, Action 4 Humanity will create a stage for families and children where children can play and learn how to play the drum, paint, and craft,
Youth and children need safe and fun programs. Having this program provides kids with opportunities to connect with positive role models and peers. Children and youth and families enjoy barbeque while exploring our core program areas.
There would be a photo session with a professional photographer to keep lasting memories.
